Well - we've had our run to Ullapool. It was a bit disappointing that we only had 4 minis on the run, 1 subaru and a mazda. But anyway we had a good run up to Ullapool - thanks to Garry at the lead/helm (or whatever you call a a leader of a collection of mini's). He took us up the scenic route and unfortunately as we came down through Little Loch Broom into Ullapool the weather really became pretty horrible.
We had a lovely lunch though in the restaurant opposite the Pier. I've never seen Ullapool so quiet but maybe the horrible dismal weather kept folk away.
We set off for home via Lairg and stopped for refreshments and some had a wee walk down to the Falls, at Falls of Shin. The weather was so much better here - maybe we should have gone the other way round!!!
Anyway I think everyone enjoyed their day and thanks to the Red and Black Mini and the Mazda that came all the way down from Wick to join our run. It was much appreciated and maybe we could meet you somewhere half-way for another run.
Hopefully we can have another wee run sometime through the summer months - we are hopeful of going to Applecross - but no date has been confirmed as yet.

We are a band of brave soldiers running old-style minis in Inverness and surrounding areas.
We meet in the Smithton Hotel on the first Monday of every month at 8.00pm. Its not a serious meeting - generally everyone comparing problems!
Although there are not that many actual cars on the road we have a few members with minis at various stages. Some requiring a total rebuild through to some that just need a wee bit of tender loving care.
We arrange, where we can, a few runs throughout the year and also attend a few of the car shows in the area.
